Simply Good Farming

Simply Good Farming

Because every contribution counts.

Working towards a better tomorrow for us and future generations

Every contribution counts and to help work towards a better tomorrow, we’ll need to continue to grow our work on sustainability. For us, regenerative agriculture is a key part of working sustainably. This is why we’re starting our journey with a number of suppliers and farmers to work towards improving soil health and biodiversity. But what types of actions are we supporting the farmers on through our Simply Good Farming programme?

Simply Good Farming

Simply Good Farming

Maggi supports these suppliers and farmers in a number of ways for example:

  • The promotion of regenerative cultivation methods – among other things for more biodiversity and soil protection as well as for the regeneration of water cycles
  • The provision and investment of the latest technologies for cultivation and harvesting, such as the use of weather stations to reduce pesticides
  • The initiation of projects in the transformation towards a more climate-friendly (regenerative) agriculture within the framework of our program "Simply Good Farming"

Examples of Simply Good Farming Programme activities

Digital Weather Stations

Digital Weather Stations

We support farmers in placing digital weather stations directly in their fields enabling them to collect local weather data such as temperature, humidity, wind direction and more. This means that farmers can use pesticides in a more targeted and economical manner.
Raindancers

Raindancers

Raindancers are a digital control and monitoring tool for agricultural irrgigation systems. Raindancers enable a farmer to adapt there irrigation in line with soil and weather conditions, therefore meaning the amount of water required for irrigation is reduced.
Flower Strips

Flower Strips

Flower strips attract and provide habitats for insects such as bumblebees, that are essential for pollination and pest control. This natural pest control reduces farmers reliance on pesticides.
