4 Cooking Hacks You Wish You Knew Earlier

This week Sayeed Khair from the Maggi Brand Team share his 4 cooking hacks that you will wish you knew earlier…

  1. Roll a hard-boiled egg with a knife to slice it…

Ever wanted the yolk from a boiled egg in one piece? Did you know that if you roll a hard-boiled egg with a knife, you can get a fine rounded yolk without making a mess?
  2. Want some lemon juice but don’t have a squeezer?

All you need is a pair of kitchen tongs and a lemon cut in half. Place one half of the lemon, cut side facing downwards, into the joint of the tongs. Squeeze the tongs together at the other end, and ta-dah! You've squeezed half a lemon in a matter of seconds. Who needs a lemon squeezer these days? Why not use your newfound skill into practice with our Maggi Juicy Cajun Recipe (Include link to the recipe)
  3. Struggling to open a jar?

Put a rubber band around the lid of a jar of Bolognese sauce or jam to get a better grip when opening. Simply twist the cap open and it works like magic!
  4. Struggling to get some honey from your spoon without it sticking?

Getting honey out of a jar with a spoon can sometimes be a nightmare when half of it is still left on the spoon when you’re trying to get it off. Next time try greasing your spoon with a little bit of cooking oil and watch as the honey easily slides off your spoon without it sticking behind!

We hope you found these cooking hacks really useful! Keep an eye out on our blog for more frequent tips and tricks!
